Gary D'Amato has covered golf for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel since 1992, covering more than 40 major championships and 100 professional golf tournaments.

In 1999, D'Amato took first place in column writing in the prestigious Golf Writers Association of America writing competition. He regularly stops by the The D-List during the golf season to share his opinion on the state of the PGA.
